Community Planning Specialist: Housing & Community Development Network

The Network is seeking a Community Planning Specialist, a key position within the Network’s technical assistance team, responsible for managing the planning and implementation of our participatory community planning and implementation technical assistance program.  Under the  Director of Technical Assistance and Training, the Community Planning Specialist works closely with other Network TA and policy staff to provide support to and strengthen the capacity of the Network’s member organizations involved in developing or implementing neighborhood plans.  The successful candidate will have proven experience in the following:  devising, facilitating and implementing community-initiated neighborhood improvement plans, community organizing, and real estate development.

Multi-Generational Director, Apostle's House

 

Apostle's House is accepting applications for a Multi-Generational Director.  The Multigenerational Director will be responsible for the planning, coordinating and the delivery of all program components for the Multigenerational Home.  Duties include, screening of program clients, supervision and evaluation of program coordinators/supervisors, ascertaining all credentials, contractual agreements, and licensing are updated and maintained, planning seminars, workshops, forums, educational, cultural and recreational activities for youth enrolled in the program, and approving training curriculum developed for staff members.  The Director must actively participate as a Service Delivery Team Member.  He/she will be responsible for assessing resources within the community and collaborating with other community groups, civic association etc. to broaden and expand the range of services offered to achieve program objectives.  

Qualifications include a BA or better in social work, psychology or related field.  Must have four years of professional experience in human services field (two of which are in a supervisory or administrative position) Strong computer and documentation skills are essential.  All persons shall exhibit characteristic skills and attributes that will enable them to work effectively and sensitively with socially-economically disadvantaged children and their families. Assistant Director of Residential Operations-Developmental Disabilities, NJ Community Development Corp. 

New Jersey Community Development Corporation is a non-profit community development and social service agency based in Passaic County , New Jersey .  We are seeking an Assistant Director of Residential Operations to oversee residences for individuals with developmental disabilities.  This includes, but is not limited to, personnel, delivery of services and quality assurance.

  Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervises all aspects of residential services for individuals with developmental disabilities to ensure the health, welfare, safety and personal development of program consumers.

  • Coordinates the annual Individual Habilitation Plan (IHP) process for consumers in accordance with State and Agency IHP planning policies and procedures and ensures that service plans goals and objectives are met.

Outreach Specialist

Parkside Business & Community in Partnership (PBCIP) was founded on the principle that its members inspire their fellow residents to find constructive ways to take back their neighborhood. PBCIP's Outreach Specialist's responsibilities will include the ability to engage and utilize volunteers to assist in accomplishing PBCIP's mission and neighborhood strategic goal.  Job duties will range from recruiting participants for meetings and events through mailings, flyers, telephone calls, and door knocking to researching local issues. The outreach worker will be expected to take major responsibility for strengthening the existing block captain association and reporting both to PBCIP Executive Director as well as funders.
