ABOUT THE FORUM: Join experienced local leaders and professionals as they explain, step-by- step how to achieve innovative, high-quality, community-minded redevelopment in light of current economic and environmental constraints. Workshops are structured in a hands-on,
case-study format, featuring instructors who have faced the challenges of redevelopment in communities throughout New Jersey.
REGISTRATION INFORMATION: Early bird registration (by February 12) is $85 for members and $125 for non-members. After February 12, admission is $100 for members and $140 for non-members. Registration at the door is $170. We are seeking AICP Certification Maintenance credits for the conference.
ABOUT THE KEYNOTE: Shelley Poticha is the Senior Advisor for Sustainable Housing and Communities at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Poticha has also been a Co-Chair at Transportation for America since its launch in 2008, president and CEO of the national nonprofit Reconnecting America since 2004, and former executive director of the Congress for the New Urbanism. Poticha is a national leader for the reform of land-use and transportation planning and policy and has helped stimulate a national conversation about the role of transportation in shaping communities and making them more sustainable and affordable. Shelley has co-authored several books, including The New Transit Town: Best Practices in Transit-Oriented Development, Street Smart: Streetcars and Cities in the 21st Century, and The Next American Metropolis, as well as the Charter of the New Urbanism.
