The Network combines outstanding education and capacity-building programs with targeted public policy advocacy to make sure CDCs have both the technical and financial support necessary to rejuvenate neighborhoods and help residents improve their lives. Since its creation in 1989, the Network has been putting in place the building blocks needed for neighborhood revitalization and community building work to thrive in New Jersey. To assist our members in the field and on the ground, we provide a variety of flexible, responsive technical assistance to assist our members in meeting today’s challenges, to help ensure their sustainability, and to plan for the future. We support our members in planning and executing projects, and assisting with their organizational development needs. Network members can consistently access affordable workshops on new funding resources and programmatic or legislative tools. Staff works with our members in articulating new needs for community development resources and, when such resources are in place other successful public policy campaigns, we provide additional supports to member CDCs to use these new resources effectively. The Network has been a HUD CHDO TA provider for 13 years.

Members can access Funding Opportunities for information on new programs and funding deadlines.
The Network provides workshops, engages subject matter specialists and field innovators, facilitates peer learning and disseminates best practices to groups of our members through its Task Forces and through our member's local coalitions. Task Forces are organized by subject matter and provide a simple, quick response method to address challenges in a group venue. Click here for more information on Task Forces.
The Network supports local coalitions of members through strategic planning, strategy development, and engaging municipal officials to collaboratively solve policy and program challenges at the local level. We also assist coalitions through the provision of workshops, dissemination of best practices, and by facilitating peer assistance and group problem solving. Currently, the Network provides TA to coalitions of its members in Camden, Jersey City, Newark, and Paterson.
Our members know that if they are facing a project or organizational dilemma, have a question, or need to identify resources; we are but an e-mail or phone call away.
