Member Spotlight is dedicated site where we feature news & upcoming events from our members. Organizations will be permitted a maximum of three events to be featured at any given time in the Member Spotlight. Lincoln Park Coast Culture District Featured in Positive Community Magazine
In the years he has been at the helm of LPCCD, the results have been gratifying. Smith cites inclusive gentrification: "We are making sure that those who stayed here during the rough times are still here during the renaissance. Those who waited out the storm should be able to benefit from the fruits of our labor." Smith also noted the many accomplishments that came about by creative placemaking, a term used for work that has been organically happening in the neighborhood using the arts and local assets as transformational vehicles, the community using its positive points to spur the upgrade of an area. Neighborhood Recovery Program Groundbreaking Ceremony
Garden State Episcopal Community Development Corporation last month celebrated the groundbreaking of a two-family foreclosed property that will be rehabilitated to provide much needed affordable housing in Hudson County. After completion the homes will be sold to first time home buyers with a preference for veterans which are eligible to receive down payment and closing assistance from the Hudson County Economic Development Corporation.
