Passaic County Nonprofit Developers Deliver for Area Economy
Report to be released shows investment, job creation, and tax revenue brought to Passaic County
                                                 
WHAT:     The Housing and Community Development Network New Jersey (the Network) and area non-profits, including NJ Jersey Community Development Corporation (NJCDC) and Paterson Habitat for Humanity will unveil employment, housing, and demographic data highlighting the economic impact Passaic County nonprofit community developers have made on New Jersey’s economy. The Passaic County data will be presented as a supplement to the Network’s 2014 Stronger Together report, an analysis of the economic impact of New Jersey’s community development sector since 1989, the year the Network was founded. According to Stronger Together, New Jersey’s nonprofit community development sector generated a total of $12 billion for the state’s economy.
   
WHO:       On hand to present the county report:
  • The Honorable Jose 'Joey' Torres, mayor of the City of Paterson
  • Staci Berger, president and chief executive officer of the Network
  • Robert Guarasci, chief executive officer of NJCDC and Barbara Dunn, executive director of Paterson Habitat for Humanity
  • State and local officials as well as leaders of regional and local community development and other non-profit and faith based organizations will be in attendance.
  • Access to report data and interviews with local contacts will be available, by request, to speak with members of the media after the report’s release.
