Murphy Budget Boosts Economy by Addressing Affordability, says Network 3/13/2018 Following Governor Phil Murphy’s first ever state budget address, Housing and Community Development Network of New Jersey’s (the Network) President and Chief Executive Officer Staci Berger issued the following statement: “Too many NJ families, seniors, and residents living with special needs struggle daily to make ends meet. We commend Gov. Murphy for acknowledging this hardship and the impact it has had on our economy. According to a new national study, there are just 30 affordable and available rental homes for every 100 of the lowest income renter households. We are also number one in foreclosure. “The governor’s proposed budget moves NJ in a new direction by investing in our diverse communities making them healthier, more affordable places to call home. Network members are ready to work with the governor and legislative leaders to build a thriving New Jersey.” About the Housing and Community Development Network of NJ For more information: Nina Rainiero |
