Housing Alliance Member Current Projects

  • NewBridge is working with the city of Clifton and the Mental Health Association of Passaic County to build the second phase of the Clifton Family Housing Project, which, when completed in the fall, will provide apartments for six families in which a parent of dependent children has a mental illness
  • Homeless Solutions is currently rehabilitating the historic Mt. Kemble Home for senior women in Morristown, which, when completed, will consist of 22 residential rooms (3 new) and a new community room.
  • Community Hope is currently finalizing the funding and approvals for fifty beds of permanent housing for veterans on the Lyons VA campus, rehabilitating a three-unit facility for individuals with disabilities in Parsippany, finalizing approvals for two two-family homes in Lopatcong, and securing the remaining funding for a building with two two-bedroom apartments in Chester Borough.
  • Morris Habitat for Humanity is currently completing a four single-family home project in Dover, with plans to build a total of 17 more homes in Budd Lake, Morristown, Succasunna and West Milford. In addition to our Home Repair program, we are working with the Borough of Wharton administering its rehab program helping income eligible homeowners on repairs to their homes.
  • Morris County Affordable Housing, Morris County Affordable Housing Corporation is converting an existing commercial garage into two one-bedroom affordable apartments in Morris Township.
  • Madison Affordable Housing is currently developing 56 units of family and senior affordable rentals in Morris Plains. Davenport Village, a 4-story modular built development located on Tabor Road, financed wholly by the Borough of Morris Plains. Occupancy is anticipated for June 2016.
  • Partnerships The Morris County Affordable Housing Corp in partnership with Morris Habitat for Humanity are completing their 7th project together, a 5-plex in Morris Twp.
