Network Announces TAPinto as New Media Sponsor

The Housing and Community Development of New Jersey (the Network) has announced as its newest media sponsor. The sponsorship offers a unique partnership in community engagement for both organizations.

“As a media sponsor, TAPinto will have access to a network of nonprofit community developers, housing advocates, and service providers who have deep-rooted connections to the communities they live and work in,” said Staci Berger, president and chief executive officer of the Network. “This is an opportunity for our members to communicate with and better serve local residents.”

Under the sponsorship, TAPinto will provide the Network and its members with a promotional platform where letters to the editor, events, and news stories can be featured. In turn, the Network will feature TAPinto on various outreach channels including its website, social media networks, and monthly newsletter. is a network of more than 50 online local newspapers in New Jersey and New York with more than 4M readers this past year.

" is excited to be named the media sponsor for the House and Community Development Network of New Jersey. Our core mission is to serve the community and our partnership with the Network enables us to further support this mission," said Michael Shapiro, CEO of

Each TAPinto site is a locally owned and operated franchise, and provides original local news content to its readers, creating a business opportunity for local owner/publishers while also expanding local involvement.

“People care about what’s happening in their communities but in the shadows of New York and Philadelphia, we don’t always hear what’s happening right in our own backyard,” said Berger. “TAPinto fills that gap by being hyperlocal and allowing those who live or work in a particular community the ability to communicate with their neighbors.”
