Finance Coordinator
Under the direction of the VP/COO, the Finance Coordinator works closely with other Network staff to strengthen the capacity of our member and partner organizations. This position requires attention to addressing and complying with regulations, donor requirements, generally accepted principals related to financial and administrative management. In addition s/he will demonstrate strong self-motivation and work ethic. 

AmeriCorp VISTA
The Network has a great opportunity for recent college graduates and graduate students who are interested in economic justice and strengthening NJ communities. We are hiring through the AmeriCorp VISTA program to support more than 200 member organizations who are addressing homelessness, foreclosures and evictions, childhood Lead poisoning, Tenant Rights, and other critical and emerging issues across the Community Development spectrum. Network VISTAs will provide the support and infrastructure that will build their capacity and allow them to better serve the thousands of clients that count on them for vital services.

The ideal candidate will have relevant work experience managing and coordinating projects, an ability to conduct research, a high level of comfort with website development and management, and a keen interest in making a difference in the state.

New Jersey Future seeks a skilled, organized, and motivated individual to provide administrative support to the communications and development team. The communications and development assistant will work within a collaborative team environment on a variety of tasks, including database and email list management, website updates, basic print and electronic design work, media relations, and event and administrative support.

Director
The NJ Department of Community Affairs seeks an experienced, mission-driven professional to serve as the first Director of the new state Office on Homelessness Prevention. Reporting to the Director of the Division of Housing and Community Resources, the Director of the Office on Homelessness Prevention will lead the development and implementation of a state plan to address homelessness, including managing the work of two Office staff and a consultant.

Housing Access Organizer
The Housing Access Organizer will work with FSHC staff and its allies to ensure fair access to these homes as they are built, working with community groups to ensure that families, especially families of color, and people with disabilities know about and have the opportunity to apply to live in these homes. The Housing Access Organizer will also work with FSHC legal and policy staff to make sure that state and local governments and developers follow laws that require fair access to these applications and non-discrimination in the application process.

Essex Community Land Trust
Executive Director
The Essex Community Land Trust (ECLT) is looking for an executive director to manage the day to day activities of the organization, including growing the organization; raising funds; developing and executing projects; building partnerships with nonprofit, for-profit, and government organization; promoting the CLT concept; and being the face of the organization. Launched in 2011, ECLT strengthen communities by providing permanently affordable housing and financial empowerment opportunities for low- to moderate-income individuals and working families throughout Essex County. ECLT works to provide permanent affordable homeownership opportunities, warn against predatory mortgages; facilitate homeowner and financial success education; diversify neighborhoods; increase the length of deed restrictions; and provide ongoing stewardship over homes located on CLT land.

This position patrols and monitors assigned areas of the facility to ensure the safety and well-being of students, staff and visitors of the agency. They also monitor facility entrance points and watch for irregularities, such as security breaches, facility and safety hazards, and emergency situations.

Chief Opportunity Zone Officer
The City of Newark’s Chief Opportunity Zones Officer (COZO) will further advance Mayor Baraka’s Newark Forward agenda in creating a more empowered, safer, educated, collaborative and equitable city. The COZO will report jointly to the President & CEO of the Newark Alliance and the City’s Deputy Mayor of Economic and Housing Development. The COZO is charged with attracting responsible investment that promotes economic community priorities without displacing existing residents, particularly communities of color and immigrant communities who, historically, are the most impacted. The Chief Opportunity Zones Officer is largely an information clearinghouse role, with a focus on matchmaking and encouraging investment, tracking rules and best practices nationally (including local policy coordination), engaging communities and monitoring investments and impacts on socio-economic outcomes (including identifying tools to ensure equity) and coordinating local stakeholder and departmental efforts.

Cities of Service is seeking two AmeriCorps VISTA members to support the GO program in Newark, NJ. This position requires a high level of community interaction, calling on VISTA members to build relationships with residents and partner organizations. AmeriCorps VISTAs will report to the Chief Opportunity Zone Officer or similar position.

Property Manager
The Homeless Solutions Property Manager is responsible for managing the day to day operations for all Homeless Solutions (HSI) owned or managed permanent residential properties. This includes being the primary contact for tenants, other housing providers, voucher issuers, and other housing organizations including not-for-profits and local governments. This position is responsible for implementing our high standards for the maintenance and upkeep of our growing property portfolio, and for imparting that philosophy on tenants and those who work for or contract with HSI. The Property Manager is responsible to confer with the Director.

Supportive Housing Administrator
A full time position providing administrative support and Residential Support Staff oversight at the Transitional Housing facility (3 Jean Street). The Supportive Housing Administrator will serve as the first point of contact at the Transitional Housing Program, handling all incoming phone calls and in person visitors and will work collaboratively with all other staff in order to ensure seamless provision of services for guests/participants within the Women & Families Division.

Program Coordinator - Student Training and Enrichment Program for Urban Progress (STEP-UP)
The Program Coordinator will serve as the program’s full-time Program Coordinator responsible for day to day activities, and ensuring administrative functions are performed at the site. The position is chiefly responsible for the following core functions and performs other tasks as needed: community service partnerships, peer mediation, record keeping and reporting, planning and evaluation, communication and service coordination, and advocacy.

Administrative Assistant to the CEO – Non Profit
The Administrative Assistant provides one-on-one administrative support to the CEO in all areas, and serves as the liaison between the CEO and the Board of Directors. The Administrative Assistant also serves as the primary point of contact for internal and external matters pertaining to the agency. This individual should be experienced in working independently on projects, from conception to completion, and work well under pressure to handle a wide variety of confidential matters with discretion. Should also possess superior problem solving skills, and be comfortable performing a wide variety of job tasks, often balancing multiple requests simultaneously. This position is full–time, and directly reports to the CEO, however the support of the Administrative Assistant may often be required by other Staff members.

An entry-level position, the CDA will work with agency leadership to assist in the implementation and execution of programs, services, and plans. Particular emphasis will be placed on starting up new initiatives. Successful candidates will have strong organizational, writing, and project implementation skills. A bachelor's degree is required and experience in community development or a related field is preferred. Salary: Commensurate with experience.
