As State Comptroller, Kevin Walsh Will Provide Necessary Oversight and a Valuable Check on State Agencies, Housing Advocates Say

The Housing and Community Development Network of New Jersey (the Network) applauds Gov. Phil Murphy for his nomination of Fair Share Housing Center Executive Director Kevin Walsh to the position of state comptroller. On the nomination, Network President and CEO Staci Berger issued the following statement:

“Kevin Walsh has been critically important to making New Jersey a fairer, more equitable state through his dogged work ethic and his aggressive pursuit of municipal affordable housing compliance.

“Kevin will bring clarity of purpose and true, independent oversight to this role and he will work toward a more honest, efficient, data-driven government. We look forward to Kevin’s swift confirmation in the State Senate.”
