SIGN ON to Keep New Jerseyans in Their Homes!
Urge Our Representatives to Support A.3948

In partnership with our members and allies in the Compassionate NJ campaign, we are working to enact A.3948 to keep tenants and homeowners in their homes during and after this pandemic. Please click here to sign a letter in support of this important legislation, and encourage other individuals and organizations in your network to sign on as well. 

We must do everything we can to keep New Jerseyans in their homes. We need the Senate, Assembly, and Gov. Murphy to pass and enact these key tenant and homeowner protections immediately! This bill, sponsored by Asw. Britnee Timberlake (D-34), includes:

• Requiring mortgage loan forbearance during and after the public health emergency (adding payments to the end of the mortgage term)
• Promoting HUD-certified housing counseling
• Suspending rent for up to 180 days
• Providing forbearance for commercial, student, or consumer loans
