Network President & CEO Staci Berger Named to Insider 100 Policymakers Power List

Housing and Community Development Network of NJ president and CEO Staci Berger is among NJ’s top policy makers, according to the 2024 InsiderNJ “Insider 100: Policymakers Power List.”

Berger ranks at #33, recognized for her leadership in the Network’s involvement in protecting and growing the Affordable Housing Trust Fund and promoting affordable home production statewide. The InsiderNJ profile credited Berger as a “real advocate” who “assumed a frontline to save Affordable Housing Trust Fund money for the last three years.”

“Thank you to InsiderNJ for recognizing the Network’s leadership role in affordable home production, reducing NJ’s racial wealth gap through homeownership, protecting and empowering renters, and ending homelessness,” said Berger. “None of this work is done in a vacuum, and so I want to also recognize and congratulate everyone who made this list, and particularly our many members and allies who work every day to HouseNJ.”

The Policymakers Power List lists several Network members and allies, including Nicole Rodriguez and Peter Chen of NJ Policy Perspective; Ryan Haygood, president and chief executive officer of the NJ Institute for Social Justice; Eric Dobson, Deputy Director at the Fair Share Housing Center; and Beverly Brown Ruggia from NJ Citizen Action. Also listed were several of the Network’s state and federal legislative allies, including Rep. Bonnie Watson Coleman, Sen. Andrew Zwicker, and Sen. Britnee Timberlake.
