The Build NJ: Faith 2 Foundation Series is a hands-on, three-part training designed not only for faith-based organizations, but also for nonprofit community development partners looking to collaborate on impactful, community-centered projects.

This series creates a shared space for learning, connection, and partnership, bringing together faith leaders and nonprofit practitioners to explore how underutilized land and buildings can be leveraged to advance housing, community facilities, and neighborhood revitalization.

Whether you're exploring development for the first time or seeking mission-aligned partners, this series meets you where you are. Through expert guidance, practical tools, and real-world examples, participants will gain the knowledge and relationships needed to move projects forward. Join a network of faith-based leaders and nonprofit partners working together to create healthier, more vibrant communities through thoughtful development.

Program Format:
This three-part series includes two virtual sessions and one in-person, interactive workshop:

  • May 7 (Virtual): Foundations & Vision
  • May 21 (Virtual): Project Framework & Feasibility
  • June 5 (IN-PERSON: Central Jersey Location TBA): Application & Moving Projects Forward 

A certificate presentation for participants who complete the full series will be held on June 5.
All sessions run from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM | Registration: $25 for all three sessions
